VERSE 1
I strive earnestly day by day,
And with my might, I strive to be;
That I may inherit the home,
Which Jesus had prepared for me.
VERSE 2
I crane earnestly day by day,
And to grasp it with all my might;
The crown of glory that is bright,
That is prepared for the lov'd ones.
VERSE 3
I hope earnestly day by day,
To listen to the voice of joy;
When here on earth my labour ends,
Enter into thy Father's joy.
VERSE 4
When friends and world and foes now seek
To draw me to perdition way,
Let me now with boldness repeat,
That I'll follow Thee to the end.
VERSE 5
Look unto me my Lord and God,
Make me victorious o'er the flesh:
That I may not stumble and fall
Away from path of glorious home.
